International Day of Happiness: Our Recipe…

·

Who said happiness is complicated? Today, we celebrate all those things, big and small, that make us smile—especially when we are surrounded by the magic of nature. Grab your backpacks and follow these simple tips:

  • Buy a bike (or just grab your boots): Whether on two wheels or on foot, the important thing is to keep moving! Exploring new trails is the best medicine for the soul.
  • Fall in love… with the forest: Nothing rejuvenates the body and spirit more than a deep connection with the natural world. The desire to protect it and become part of it makes us better people.
  • Shed the unnecessary weight: Not just in your backpack, but in your heart as well. Lightness is freedom.
  • Eat when you’re hungry (but with respect): On the mountain, time flows differently. Enjoy your meal, especially after a tough climb, but always leave no trace behind.
  • Treat yourself too: A new backpack, a map for a new route, or simply a day off to get lost on the trails. You deserve the self-care.
  • 👀 Be curious: Discover a new flower species, listen to the song of a bird you don’t recognize. Curiosity keeps you young and alive.
  • Learn to find joy in the little things: The coolness of a spring, the light of the sunrise, the feeling of the wind on your face, good company. These are the true riches.
  • Don’t mistake luxury for happiness: Happiness doesn’t need five-star hotels. It needs good company (optional…) and a breathtaking view.
  • Always be spontaneous: If you see a beautiful spot, stop. Nature rewards spontaneity.
  • Respect, yes; fear, no: Fear is natural and keeps us alert. But don’t let it paralyze you. With respect and preparation, you can overcome it.
  • Don’t complain! A wrong turn, a sudden rain shower… it’s all part of the adventure. Embrace the unpredictable.

And the most important for the end: If you don’t have a sense of humor, then none of the above is of any use to you.

Learn to laugh at yourself when you lose the trail… 🧭 Self-deprecation is a trait of the strong and the most direct “route” to happiness. And the best part? For this route, you’ll never need a map!
